Subject: High Gas Prices
I want to start off by thanking you all for your continued hard work, customer hospitality, and dedication. Our drivers play a critical role in helping Delivery First continue its growth and we truly appreciate all you do to help.
Unexpected world events can obviously have an effect on all of our day to day activity and wallets. We have been through a worldwide pandemic that seems to be coming to a manageable end; and now we are all faced with the effects of the conflict in Ukraine. Recently we surveyed our driver team and we were happy that there were a lot of very positive comments but a lot of drivers commented that they were being effected by the recent significant increases in gas prices.
We’ve heard you. So, what are we going to do about it?
As of Thursday, March 10 2022, we are enacting a temporary gas subsidy of $0.50 per delivery, nontaxable gas subsidy. This will appear on your weekly paycheck as a separate line item.
We are hopeful that these higher prices will not last and we are more hopeful that the conflict in Ukraine will come to a peaceful resolution. We also hope that this is a very temporary solution to offset high prices and that we can return to normal soon.
